Matthew Wilson Martin
Edward Houlstone
Matthew Wilson Martin is an award-winning film actor and producer with a long-standing presence in Central Pennsylvania’s Christian independent film scene. His films have earned multiple accolades, including two Best Feature wins at major film festivals, where he played a main role in each and worked alongside respected talent such as Angus MacFadyen and Gigi Erneta. After a five-year hiatus from the stage, Matthew returned in 2023 and has since performed in The Sound of Music (Herr Zeller), White Christmas (Ralph Sheldrake), Forever Plaid (Jinx), The Music Man (Constable Locke), ’Twas the Night Before Christmas (Uncle Brierly/Sir Guy), and Pinkalicious (Mr. Pinkerton)—all with Keystone Theatrics at Allenberry and Little Theatre of Mechanicsburg. He also appeared as Lane Gold in Club 85, the debut production of Sterling Productions. His performance as Jinx earned him a Broadway World nomination for Best Supporting Performer in a Musical. Additional credits include Hairspray (Theatre Harrisburg at the Whitaker Center), which received multiple Broadway World nominations and wins, Anything Goes (Allenberry), Mister Roberts (Theatre Harrisburg), and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (Oyster Mill Playhouse). Outside of acting, Matthew is a devoted single father to a 17-year-old son, a department supervisor at Giant, and a community leader, currently serving in two elected offices while helping organize events throughout the Mechanicsburg area. Performing at the Marysville VFW and the Mechanicsburg American Legion carries deep personal meaning for Matthew. As the son of a Colonel and soon to be serving in the military himself, he holds a profound respect for the men and women who have worn the uniform. These performances are dedicated to honoring their sacrifice and service. Matthew is deeply thankful for the cast, production team, and community that continue to surround him with encouragement and friendship. Above all, he gives glory to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who remains the foundation of his life—onstage, offstage, and in every season. Instagram: @thewmartin
